Martins Hi-Fi invites you to come in and listen to Music. Not just any music, we want to hear YOUR favourite album – START to FINISH! 5th, 6th & 7th August

 We don’t care if it is Rock, Classical, Dance, Indy, 60’s 70’s 80’s, 00’s, Dub Step, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Blues, Punk, Grunge, World Music, Acoustic, or in fact any other Genre. The only rule is that the music must be Special to YOU.

You will have chosen the music, so it is only fair that we choose the System. We have teamed up with KoG Audio for this event and have no hesitation in choosing the formidable:

T+A HV-Series

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme £25,000

The Taiko Audio SGM Extreme is a State of the Art Music Server designed to deliver the most realistic sounding / live reproduction from stored music files and streaming music from Qobuz and Tidal.

The hardware architecture is a dual multicore CPU’s running under a Taiko Audio custom assembled operating system built from the ground up using the Windows 10 components designed for industrial controller applications with SOTA process schedulers. All data and software storage is non SSD, and utilizes non-SATA, non-volatile solid-state storage modules.

The Taiko Audio SGM Extreme is powered by a linear power supply with choke regulation and a large capacitor bank utilizing the highest audiophile-grade Dueland and Mundorf capacitors.

Music files can be stored in the internal storage up to 24 TB or in a NAS (Network-attached Storage)

The standard software suite is Roon with the delivery of the data stream to JPlay which delivers the data stream to the USB controller.

Silver Diamond Speaker Cable

The Silver Diamond are the cables that we were not sure could be made (although we hoped that they would be possible).

So what’s different? Well compared to the Black Diamond, which was our award winning multi-product of the year cable, the Silver Diamond has even better bass definition, improved detail and a more extended top end (without any harshness) and something else which people are finding hard to define simply because they have not heard it before. As one of the first people to hear the cable said there is a “certain rightness” to the sound and that is because we have got closer to achieving our goal in cable development and signal transmission than ever before and you can hear it. Perhaps an analogy would be to talk about the Black Diamond as HD image quality whereas the Silver Diamond gives you 4K Ultra HD quality with 3D effortlessly thrown in for good measure.

This cable behaves differently to our others needing a run through of track three from our System disc to properly embed it before listening on a new system even when it is run in – almost like conditioning the system to make the most of the cable’s abilities. It may sound a bit strange that a system needs to be tuned up or put in tune to get the most from this cable but the cable is something quite unique as you will hear if your get the chance to listen to a system using it.
