The New Innuos STREAM Series Has Landed

We've just taken delivery of the brand-new Innuos STREAM Series, and honestly, we're rather excited about what these units can do. If you've been thinking about upgrading your digital source or dipping your toe into serious music streaming, the STREAM1 and STREAM3 are definitely worth a listen.

What Makes These Special?

Having lived with various Innuos products over the years, we know they have a knack for getting digital audio right. The new STREAM Series takes everything they've learned from the popular ZEN and PULSE ranges and pushes things forward considerably. The result? Music that simply sounds more engaging and natural.

Built to Fit Your World

One thing we really appreciate about these new models is how they adapt to whatever you've already got going on. Whether you want:

  • A complete solution with the built-in DAC options
  • A dedicated transport for your existing DAC
  • A proper music server for multiple rooms (works brilliantly with Sense, Roon, or UPnP)

We can set either unit up to work exactly how you want it. No compromises, no awkward workarounds.

STREAM1: Serious Performance, Sensible Money

At £2,100, the STREAM1 punches well above its weight. The performance gains are immediately obvious – the updated power supplies and much faster processing deliver noticeably cleaner, more dynamic sound. It's one of those upgrades where you'll wonder how you lived without it.

Quick tip: The optional linear power supply upgrade (£840 when bought together) is genuinely transformative. We always suggest having a listen to both configurations – the difference is substantial enough that most people find the extra investment worthwhile.

STREAM3: The Flagship Experience

For those seeking the ultimate reference standard, the STREAM3 at £5,400 is rather special. The full-width chassis houses some properly impressive kit:

  • Intel quad-core processor that's three times faster than previous generations
  • 8GB DDR5 memory with real-time kernel
  • Serious internal linear power supply with 300VA toroidal transformer
  • Innuos' ARC6-CX regulation with massive 132,000μF Mundorf capacitance

During listening sessions, the STREAM3 demonstrates that effortless authority you get with truly high-end sources. There's a sense of everything being under complete control, allowing the music to flow naturally without any digital harshness or fatigue.

Start Simple, Grow Smart

What we particularly like about the modular approach is that you're not locked into one configuration forever. You can:

Begin with streaming using digital outputs to your current DAC, then add analogue stages later when you're ready.

Choose your DAC level from the Performance DAC Board (£1,050) with its excellent AKM chip, right up to the forthcoming PhoenixDAC Board with dual mono chips and precision clocking.

Add storage when needed – 2TB for £350, 4TB for £650, or go all-out with 8TB for £1,800 on the STREAM3. Perfect for when you decide to rip that CD collection properly.

The Little Things Matter

Both models include thoughtful touches that make daily use a pleasure:

  • Fast 2.5Gb Ethernet connections
  • Modern USB-C output alongside traditional options
  • Proper remote control support
  • Programmable LED that won't light up the room
  • CD ripping via USB optical drive (finally, a civilised way to digitise your collection)

Why Pop In for a Demo?

Look, specifications are all well and good, but they don't tell you how these things actually sound with your favourite tracks. That's why we've set both models up in our main demonstration room, where you can:

  • Hear the differences between STREAM1 and STREAM3 side by side
  • Compare the various power supply options
  • Try them with your own music (streaming services or bring a USB stick)
  • See how they'd integrate with your current setup
  • Chat through the upgrade path options without any pressure

Finding Your Perfect Match

Whether you're drawn to the Innuos STREAM1's excellent value or fancy the STREAM3's no-holds-barred approach, we're here to help you work out what makes most sense. Our years of experience with Innuos gear means we can usually spot the right configuration pretty quickly.

The beauty of the modular design is that whichever way you go, there's always room to grow. Makes the decision a bit easier, really.

Come Hear Them at Our Innuos STREAM Event

We're hosting a special Innuos STREAM demonstration event on September 11th where you'll be able to experience both the STREAM1 and STREAM3 in our main demonstration room. This is your chance to hear these impressive new machines properly, compare them side by side, and discover what all the fuss is about.

The STREAM Series represents a genuinely significant step forward for digital audio – proper engineering married to musical understanding. But the only way to really appreciate what they're about is to spend some time listening.

Mark your diary for September 11th or give us a ring on 01603 627010 to arrange a private demonstration. Whether you're completely new to high-end streaming or looking to move on from your current source, we'd be happy to run through what these impressive machines can do. No hard sell, just good music and a proper chat about what might work best for you.

Prices include VAT. Storage and output modules available to order – we'll happily discuss options during your visit.
