We have been designing and installing security and CCTV as part of smart homes for more than 20 years, in homes across Norwich and Norfolk. Our first question is about how your household lives, not which camera to buy: who comes and goes, where you want to see, and what should happen when nobody is in.
Modern cameras see at night, record in 4K and cope with poor light and movement. Recordings are kept on a hard drive in the house for weeks or months, so there is nothing to swap or change. You can watch live or recorded footage on your phone or tablet from anywhere, on any television in the house, or on a touchscreen on the wall. You can see who is at the gate without getting up from the sofa.
The installation can be as discreet as you like. Cables are hidden and cameras placed so they do their job without spoiling the look of the house.
With Control4, security is linked to everything else. One button or one spoken command can lock the doors, close the blinds, switch off the lights downstairs and turn on the outside lights. Lights can come on if an alarm is triggered or a camera spots movement.
