Established 1968
Based on our interpretation of an Art Nouveau style 1930's Paris Cinema, this demonstration room is designed to accommodate state of the art technology behind the scenes. This project is, as far as we know, unique in as much as we are the only company in the UK to have a demonstration room finished in this opulent style and incorporating hand-painted one of kind images.
The great importance of the Art Nouveau movement was that it encouraged artists, architects, and designers to throw off the shackles of the past. After the 1900's they were able to develop fresh original styles, which were completely devoid of any traditionalism or revolutionism.
Art Nouveau was very important in the development of modern design; it was a period that witnessed the great beauty, startling originality, and clearness of vision.
The Art Noveau room started life as a simple unused room above the shop. This room has become more than just a screen and speakers with the innovation of acoustic design and the remit of creating a cinema with its own acoustic identity.
Using the three main steps of corner bass trapping, early reflection treatment, and ambiance control, the room had all of the equipment storage built for it and fitted. In this project, we did not want to cut holes and pull down walls, but rather experiment and push to the limit what a retrofitted cinema can be.
The system is the only Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 demonstration room in Norfolk (at time of writing). To our knowledge, it is also the only demonstration room in Norfolk which can demonstrate how to use acoustic treatment to existing walls and corners without having to have them altered by builders.
This home cinema highlights our commitment to bespoke design and the engineering ability to create your vision. You may not choose this style, however, this room is designed to show innovative design and high-end cinema technology. We are proud to show this room and hope it gives you faith in our abilities to deliver your dream.
