Up until now high definition signals have relied on satellite dishes or fibre optic cables, as Freeview-HD uses a standard aerial connection high definition has now become more accessible. The Freeview-HD tuner built in to the Panasonic TX-P65VT20B 65inch plasma TV works in just the same way as the standard Freeview tuner, there are no monthly subscription costs and no contract, you will still receive the same 50 radio and television channels, but you will also have access to the Freeview view high definition channels from the BBC and ITV. Just in case Freeview-HD is not available in your area yet, do not worry you still have the opportunity to receive free high definition channels on the Panasonic TXP65VT20B as it has a built in Freesat-HD tuner.

Unlike Freeview-HD, freesat-HD uses a satellite dish to receive high definition channels as well as 120 free to view standard definition channels some of which are not available on Freeview. The only cost involved with freesat-HD is the initial set up cost of the satellite dish, once that is done you are free to enjoy high definition and the 120 radio and television channels that come with freesat-HD.
